An action-packed wedding at Badgers Mount Hotel
25th June 2022
BADGERS MOUNT HOTEL, HINCKLEY
I've just come back from being a part of this amazing wedding for a beautiful couple.
Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Kew!!!
What can I say about this wedding? It had everything, and then a bit more.
First of all, the venue. Badgers Mount Hotel is really fantastic. As a local wedding photographer in Leicester I see many venues and this is a truly beautiful little venue and a photographers dream. Moody soft lighting in the bar areas, beautiful lush grass and a gazebo for the ceremony set against the backdrop of a sprawling green field. A great patio area to relax with a G&T. And yes, a heated pool! Amazing! As a venue I'm in love with it and cant wait to get back there for James' wedding next month.
But it's the people that make the event, and WHAT AN EVENT! Russell and Kirsty, your family and friends are awesome. To have so much fun and laughter mixed with such emotion is a truly special thing and you are both so lucky to have such special people in your lives. You all made me feel so incredibly welcome and I had a blast.
Here's a few of my highlights from badgers mount hotel.
Your little girl crying inconsolable tears of joy for you both during the ceremony. Such mature emotions for someone so young. I felt guilty for taking a photo of her crying but I knew I just had to capture it. Then the five minutes of rain that came right at the end of the ceremony and the chauffeur dashing over with two umbrellas. What a freakin' hero! The heavens opened at the perfect time as everyone was on their way inside anyway and we got some great umbrella shots. The speeches were truly heartfelt and Ady's best man speech was probably the best, most cringe-inducingly brilliant one I've witnessed. I think at one point my professionalism went outta the window as I was so busy laughing I forgot I had a job to do. Ady I salute you for the quality of your speech only to be matched by the exuberance of your dancing.
The Rolls Royce was majestic, the first dance was splendid, the food delicious, the hog-roast even better, and then there's the pool. The two girls jumping in fully clothed sums it all up perfectly. There was so much going on it made my life easy and a pleasure. I just had to keep up!
I'd like to say a special mention to little Ruby who somehow managed to blag herself a full on photography lesson with me whilst I was shooting this wedding. She really did improve but look out for my invoice Ruby, it's in the post!
I feel so privileged to share and help create these special moments for people.
Thank you Kirsty & Russell for inviting me to be a part of yours.
Congratulations again, Mr & Mrs Kew
